Innkeepers, Brenda and Mark Miller
Brenda loves cooking, gardening and preserving, canning, freezing, making jams and jellies. She also enjoys music: singing, playing the piano, flute and guitar. She met her husband, Mark, at Hesston College, Hesston, Kansas, where she studied Business Management, and Mark studied Aviation.
Mark flew commercially for thirty years, during which most of the time was spent as Captain with Piedmont Airlines. Mark enjoys restoring vintage Ford Mustangs and pick-up trucks, while contract flying on occasion.
We, the Millers, both enjoy serving the community through the local church.
Our eldest son, Brandon, graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and is employed by Cessna Aircraft in their Flight Test Department.
Son, Adam, graduated from Houghton College in New York with a B.A. in Psychology and is training currently for Physical Therapy Assistant.
Mark's son, Tim, currently lives and works in Phoenix, Arizona.
We purchased our b&b in 1998 as a residence and contributed much blood, sweat and tears to fulfill a dream of running our own business. Mark has had the vision for the property; together with the help of our sons, and a professional contractor, electrician and plumber, we've worked very hard to provide a comfortable place for our guests to enjoy a peaceful, country respite from the struggles of daily life.
In the morning, we work hard to provide a nourishing breakfast to satisfy any hearty appetite! We are intentional about including ingredients from our own garden and fruit trees, as well as the many local markets. We often use local farm fresh eggs, raw milk, and pork raised on the neighboring family farm! We strive to use environmentally safe cleaning products and reduce, re-use and re-cycle as much as we possibly can.
We hope you'll feel a part of our family while you're here as you take a step back in time and enjoy the serenity of our 18th century farmhouse!
